Through ESUNT Updates / Waitlist, subscribers provide their email address, optional areas of interest, and consent to receive relevant project communications.

Website operation and security systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser characteristics, requested pages, access times, and security-related events.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Project communications - Providing requested updates about development, crowdfunding, and pre-sale opportunities.
  • Website administration and security - Maintaining functionality, diagnosing technical problems, and preventing abuse.
  • Legal compliance - Meeting applicable regulatory and legal obligations.

Submitting a business inquiry does not automatically subscribe an individual to marketing communications.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on the purpose and circumstances, personal information is processed under the following GDPR legal bases:

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) - For voluntary ESUNT Updates / Waitlist subscriptions and other communications requiring consent.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) - For responding to inquiries, exploring potential business relationships, maintaining website security, and preventing misuse, where these interests do not override individual rights.
  • Pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b)) - Where processing is necessary to take steps requested by an individual before entering into a contract.
  • Legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) - Where processing is required by applicable law.

Providing personal information is generally voluntary. However, required form fields must be completed for an inquiry or subscription to be processed.

Subscription to ESUNT Updates / Waitlist is voluntary and requires an affirmative consent action.

Subscribers may receive information concerning:

  • ESUNT technology and application development.
  • Project milestones and announcements.
  • Crowdfunding initiatives and opportunities.
  • Pre-sale availability and related announcements.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Subscribers may request removal through our Contact page. When subscription emails are issued, an unsubscribe mechanism will also be provided.

Information necessary to document consent or prevent unwanted further communications may be retained where justified by applicable data protection requirements.

6. Cookies and Third-Party Content

The ESUNT website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, and user preferences.

Where processing involves service providers acting on behalf of ESUNT, appropriate data protection arrangements are required.

Where personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, applicable GDPR requirements must be satisfied, including appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards where necessary.

Information submitted through ESUNT forms is not intended for sale or disclosure to unrelated organizations for their independent marketing purposes.

8. Data Retention

ESUNT follows the principle of storage limitation, retaining identifiable personal information only for as long as necessary for its original purpose or another applicable lawful purpose.

  • General contact inquiries: Normally retained for up to 12 months after the last relevant communication.
  • Business inquiries: Normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful communication, unless an active business relationship, contractual requirement, or legal obligation justifies longer retention.
  • ESUNT Updates / Waitlist: Subscription information is retained while the individual remains subscribed. Inactive subscription records are periodically reviewed, and consent may be refreshed where appropriate.
  • Website access logs: Normally retained for up to 30 days.
  • Security and incident logs: Normally retained for up to 90 days, unless longer retention is necessary for investigating a particular incident or meeting legal obligations.
  • Legal and contractual records: Retained for the period required by applicable law or reasonably necessary for establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.

Personal information that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.

Routine backups and email copies may temporarily retain information beyond its removal from active systems, subject to applicable backup schedules and retention controls.

9. Information Security

ESUNT aims to maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards against unauthorized access, accidental loss, alteration, and disclosure of personal information.

Access to submitted information is restricted according to legitimate operational requirements. Website security measures are reviewed as the project develops.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, and visitors should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information through public contact forms.
